I reckon it’s the dream of thousands, or dare I invent a word, woopillions of Australians.
I reckon cooking over a campfire adds so much to a meal, the simple act of cooking together around the warmth of the fire, the conversation you have, the laughs, discussing the days activities, a drink or two, not forgetting the smokey flavour … it just tastes better!

Not too many kids will remember their best weekend watching TV, but you can bet they’ll tell all their friends about the weekend by a billabong.
So what drives us, inspires us, or incites us to want to travel the open road?
Something that can be often overlooked is the water content simply because it is a necessity of life and its importance usually outweighs its actual weight. But at a kilogram per litre it can soon add a significant amount to the laden weight of your van. But there is in fact a greater impact water is having on vans than just sheer weight. Its force!
We prepped our filter appropriately, hooked up the water supply and walked away happy in the knowledge we would have an endless flow of crystal clear water from the van tap system for the duration of our stay. Until it stopped after just a few days.
